Michaeline: Writing Word Puzzle for Priming the Pump

Some days, you just need a little psychological boost to get started. I’ve talked before on this blog about the power of priming at least twice, and here is a puzzle with words I associate with good writing. Give it a try and see if you like it!

Or, if you’d like to try your own hand at making a personal puzzle with words that are meaningful to you, visit Discovery Education to create your own game.

Happy Saturday!

I S K Y S A H Z S W X W
Z A E U X A A A Y H G V
H E A R T W A R M I N G
W H I Z B A N G P R T E
G N I Y F S I T A S H V
O Y X J Q F R I T Y O I
C I T N A M O R H N U T
D N H S W A S E E N S A
R G E O I Q D P T U A E
D B L Z U W R L I F N R
E F M C V J T C F C D C
X G N P W Z N J P Z L Z

Words I put into the program:

CREATIVE
FLOW
FUNNY
HEARTWARMING
ROMANTIC
SATISFYING
SYMPATHETIC
THOUSAND
TWISTY
WHIZBANG

But I know there are at least three bonus words that *I* would love to associate with any story of mine! How many can you find?

(Just a note: there’s a third post I made where I talk about the priming experiment, and the story success I had — it’s more about the “how I did it” not “what I did” — for the life of me, I can’t remember which story I’d finished! My goodness, I was full of joy, though. It was a different time, a different computer, but it’d be nice to have a little May Magic to help me out this week.)

  1. I didn’t spend too much time on this, but I can find “helm” and “the” and “vitae” and let us not forget “oy,” but I can’t find all of yours. Good puzzle, Michaeline! Finding joy, that’s the ticket.

  2. I found “ying” in two different places but sadly no “yang”. Does that mean my writing is destined to be unbalanced?
